Gordie: Gordie is a good student, brother, son, friend and more. He has a job that he works really hard to keep so he can save money to get his guitar fixed and also so he doesn't have to rely on other people to give him money for his own personal needs/wants. Gordie makes his parents proud, but when he does make mistakes his parents are not only shocked because hes such a good kid but they also get disappointed because they don't want him to make mistakes like his older brother did. Gordie is also very caring for people who need it and deserve it. He doesn't show much care for his brother because of the way he has turned out. Gordies weakness/flaw would probably be the fact that he cant really stand up for himself, for example if someone makes fun of him he doesn't say anything to elevate an argument he just simply takes it and walks away, or does whatever they ask him to do.

Chase: Chase is a very lazy, irresponsible, dirty, lost, and hopeless 17 year old boy who has ruined his life due to smoking methamphetamine which is a very highly addictive drug that most people only have a 11% chance of overcoming the habit. Chase use to be a good student and a good person in general, but ever since he started doing meth his life and his family's life has started going down hill.

If you knew someone like Chase (someone who has a bad addiction) what would you do to help them?

  1. If someone has an addiction like this, I think it would be very hard to help them. Also there would not be very much you can do to help them. When a person like Chase, who use to be a good student and a good person in general, they don't just start doing meth for no reason. Usually something tragic or serious happens in their life that causes them to act out like this. There is really nothing you can do about this because their stuck or concentrated on the past and they cannot move on, so they use drugs to solve their problems. I feel bad for people like this, and Chase, If I were Chases friend I would try to get him some help, with a special group or a psychiatrist.
